Log book, diary (1917), papers and photographs of Air Commodore Ronald Burns Bannerman DFC and bar CBE (1890-1978).

Bannerman was born in Invercargill on 21 September 1890. He trained in New Zealand and England and scored 17 victories with 79 Sqn RAF. He joined RFC 29 March 17 and was posted to 79 Sqn in the summer of 1918 flying Sopwith Dolphins. He subsequently served in senior roles with the Royal New Zealand Air Force and died in 1978.
