Loose typed memoir written in 1978 by NZ41593 Norman E. Junge, wireless operator/air gunner in No 489 Torpedo Bomber Squadron RNZAF, 1941-1943.
One of two, this memoir was possibly compiled by Norman Junge from his wartime diaries. It is in the form of several anecdotal stiries in non-chronological order, concerning specific flights, and his journey back to New Zealand in 1945 and the welcome home he received. It includes a transcription of an article relating to flying the Hampden with attached cuttings.
