Miriam Murray trained as a nurse at Dunedin Hospital c.1930-1934. In the late 1950s she became the Secretary of the Otago Branch of the New Zealand Registered Nurses Association. She was also involved in various community activities and became a Justice of the Peace.

Miriam Murray was born in 1929 and trained as a nurse during the 1940s, not 1930-34.
