The Victoria Jubilee Convalescent Fund merged with the Patients' and Prisoners' Aid Society in 1920. Its objective had been to send women and girls, approved by the Fund Committee, to the country or seaside for the improvement of their health.

The James Powell Convalescence Home was funded by a bequest and erected in Warrington in 1921.
