Description of significant Archive collections for Otautau and Surrounds:

Family history material, Video footage, Audio collection, News Clippings and Newspapers collection, Archive Folders on Public Buildings, BDM & Personal Records Collection, Periodicals, Reference Works, Maps Collection, Manuscripts, Schools Collections, Local Groups & Business Organizations minutes and other matters (no longer operating), Religious Collection, Military Records

Archives sought/collecting interests:

Photographs, home movies, maps, newspaper clippings, obituaries, information on homesteads, family histories, oral histories, events and volunteer groups in these areas: Otautau, Aparima, Scotts Gap, Waikouro, Fairfax, Isla Bank and Wallace County – spanning early settlement period (1860s) to present.

Donations - visit $5; $20 research, plus charges at cost

Opening hours:

Sundays, 2 - 4pm - to view archives or to contact the Collections manager for gifting items - please contact the Museum beforehand. Visitors welcome on other days by request, by contacting Collections Manager
