Description:

King's College was founded in 1896 by Graham Bruce a former master at St John's Collegiate School. With Charles T Major, who became Headmaster from 1905 until 1926, they opened a school on Remuera Road with an initial roll of 63.
The College remained at Remuera until 1922 when it moved to its present location at Middlemore.
