Eleanor Southey Baker McLaglan, MB ChB NZ 1903, LM Coombe Hosp, Dub. Regd 5 Aug 1904: Dunedin/Christchurch. Name changed to Baker-McLaglan by marriage in London 29 Dec 1923 to Sydney, brother of actor Victor McLaglan. Born at French Farm, Banks Peninsula 13 Sept 1879, daughter of schoolmaster Thomas Southey Baker. Practd at Te Kopuru, Nth Akld. School MO in Christchurch from 1914. Died in Auckland 20 Sept 1969 aged 90.

Collection includes copy of review in The Press, 30.10.69 of her autobiography "Stethoscope and saddlebags" - Cotter Medical History Trust holds copy.
