Our mission is to Protect, Preserve and Provide continuing access to the archival record of Council.

The majority of Archives held are the archivial records of the current and previous Councils, Boards and Authorities within our current boundary area.

Our holdings include Council: Correspondence, and subject and nominal files; Minute books, meeting papers, reports; Rate books and Valuation records; Council publications, bylaws; and Historic Aerial photographs

Contact us by phone or email and we'll search our holdings to find archives relevant to your enquiry. Then, make an appointment to read the archives at our 'Reading Room'. However if you ask us to do your research, charges apply.

Reproduction services:

Photocopying A3 and A4

Charges:

The first hour of a search is without charge. However fees apply for research. After the first 20x A4 pages a charge applies, as does a charge for A3 photocopying. See our website for more detail.

Opening hours:

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons, or Friday morning - by appointment only.

Onsite parking:

Yes, plenty of parking and its free.

Physical access:

Ground floor, wheelchair accessible reading room 5 minutes drive down the road from the main Council building. See Google maps.
