hi, I have just found your reply sorry it took so long. Do you have any details of Alice Maude Berry & who her father was? My mother told me that Alice was the result of an affair between Sarah & the Maori King/Chief in Waimate. And I am trying to find out who he was & what his name was. unfortunately it was hushed up by Sarah's family. I would appreciate any connecting information you could send me. many thanks Garry. My email address is ,

Florence and James were my grandparents, so I have amassed a great deal of material about the family line. If you wish to contact me, then please do so.

I have Florence Grace Tucker on my tree, she married James McHardie 12 January 1891 Marton, New Zealand (near Wanganui). They had 3 boys I'm afraid that's where that line ends.
Two were killed in the first war and the third came back and died in 1923 Ashburton, New Zealand, no children found.
If you would like what I have contact me.
One son did marry Myrtle Sollitt but died in action before any children were born.

Hi there.
I'm researching my Tucker lineage who where "Emigrants of the Manchester Settlement" sometimes listed as Packer.
They arrived 1877 on ship Northampton. The family was listed as Job Tucker, 26, Emily wife 28, Percival 7 months, Mary Ann Emily 4, Florence 3 and niece Betsey Harrington 18.
Job and Emily had another child Herbert Tucker born 18th May 1878, his birth was registered in the Feilding district.
The daughters attended Bulls Public School, Mary Ann Emily Tucker's School Admission mentions that her guardian was John Doughty, dairyman, she married Alfred James O'Connor.
Florence Grace Tucker was brought up by McHardie or Doughty family, she married James McHardie.
Not sure what happened to the rest of the Tucker family.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.
