The Museum’s purpose is to collect, preserve, research and exhibit objects illustrating and recording the natural and cultural history of South Canterbury, from prehistoric times up to the present.

Open to the public. Special arrangements may need to be made to view oversize or fragile material, artworks or items from the objects collections
