Invercargill City Libraries and Archives

About Invercargill City Libraries and Archives

Te Heata

Our collecting scope includes records of local government, voluntary groups, sport and recreational groups, ethnic and cultural organisations, education and school records, maps and photographs, personal papers and business archives from the City of Invercargill and the surrounding Southland District.

The Archive works in close conjunction with the Information Services department of the Library. Information Services holds a range of local published resources that compliment archival research. These resources include a comprehensive newspaper collection, published histories relevant to Southland and self-published research and family histories that may be difficult to source elsewhere.

We have 371 collections in The Community Archive (with a total of 1 items) »
