Description:
Webster was born on board the 'Amelia Thompson' in 1841 on the voyage to New Zealand.
The journal consists of a typescript and also a manuscript copy (by W.H. Skinner) of the original and describes a voyage to Sydney, Australia, in the schooner 'Seagull' when Webster was accompanied by two New Plymouth boys, Percy Bayley and Fred Windsor.
