Description:

The book contains a record of hours worked by employees. Pencilled inside back cover are names of all employees. Awarua, in December 1913, became the third radio communications station opened by the General Post Office, after Wellington and Auckland. It was designed to be a communication and navigation aid to ships. The location between Invercargill and Bluff is said to be one of the best in the world for receiving and transmitting radio signals. It was closed in 1991 except for an automatic relay section.
