Records of the architectural practice of Reginald (Reg) THORROLD-JAGGARD and his son William (Bill). This practice operated in Palmerston North from 1915-1962. Initially run by Reginald from 1915 to 1939, then by Reginald and William (1939-1959) and finally run by William (1959-1962). The practice was closed in 1962, but these records contain details of four contracts carried out by W THORROLD-JAGGARD between 1967 and 1969.

Contract ledgers, three volumes containing details of contracts undertaken by Reginald and William, contain details of clients, work performed, charges made and payments received, 1915-1969.
Client registers, sorted by client name, each sheet contains a record of a contract undertaken by the practice - includes details of builders, contractors, tender prices and dates when work started and completed.
Plans and specifications, a sample of architectural drawings and contract specifications selected by William THORROLD-JAGGARD, the plans focus on new buildings and large houses of the late 1920s and early 1930s, there are nearly 70 sets of plans, 1919-1975.
Architectural drawings (perspectives), a small series of perspectives of buildings designed by the practice, some mounted and framed.
Photographs, framed and unframed photographs of buildings designed by the practice and photographs of the THORROLD-JAGGARD family, includes three photographs of Palmerston North architects.
Newspaper cuttings, "Architecture in Palmerston City" - 10 scrapbooks 1934-1980, Hawkes Bay Earthquake - 5 scrapbooks 1931.
University thesis, William's thesis on "A Civic Centre for Palmerston North", includes photographs and 12 large sheets of coloured drawings.
Miscellaneous publications, relating to Palmerston North, includes a report on damage to Wellington buildings following the 1929 earthquake.
Personal papers, includes birth certificate for William, register of motion pictures seen by William, soldiers paybook and artillery memoirs and other papers.
Family / reference file, family history and reference file kept by Archives Staff from 1955-, includes correspondence, newspaper cuttings and notes relating to William (Bill).
