North Otago Museum Archive

Waitaki District Archive was created and launched in 1987 to recognise a need to protect the valuable documentary material and records of Waitaki District. The Archive has grown over the years and now collects important records about the community of Waitaki District. These records include photographs, records of local clubs and societies, records of local businesses and individuals, local school records and newspapers.

Visitor information

Opening hours:

Access to our Reference library and resources is available from Monday to Friday 1pm – 4.30pm. Assistance and physical access to Archive records is provided on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 1pm – 4.30pm or by appointment
