The first minister for Anderson's Bay Parish was Rev. J. H. McNaughton, a Scotsman ordained in Canada. His term lasted from 1863 until 1877. The first church building, designed by R. A. Lawson, was opened in 1864. Rev. Dr. Thomas Burns and Rev. D. M. Stuart conducted the opening services. The second minister was an Australian, Rev. C. S. Ross. Rev. Andrew Cameron was the third minister from 1884 until his retirement in 1919. A "Women's Work and Missionary Association" was formed in 1869. Rev. Cameron convened the committee responsible for a Sabbath School building, which was opened in 1892. A new church was built in 1914. A Men's Club existed for a short time from 1949. Waverley- Tomahawk became a separate Home Mission Parish in 1954. The Women's Fellowship published a Recipe Book in 1963. The parapets and pinnacles on the Anderson's Bay Church bell tower had to be removed in 1965. A Christian Education Study Committee was formed in 1967. The parish's first deaconess, Sister Dorothy Harvey, was appointed in 1968. The church has produced a magazine, "The Beacon", since 1979.
