Description:

Eugene Grayland was a prominent New Zealand journalist who worked for a number of New Zealand newspapers, including the 'New Zealand Herald' and the 'Auckland Star', and published extensively on New Zealand journalism and events.
The papers consist of typewritten copies of articles and drafts of articles on a variety of topics, including 'The Sun' newspaper, journalism, the Wellington earthquake and Seabrook Fowlds Ltd. There are also notes from lectures by Blackwood Paul on New Zealand publishing and E.T. Fairburn on the wreck of the 'Orpheus', and correspondence with C. G. Hunt over the 'mystery wreck of Ruapuke beach'.
