Description:

David P. Stuart and John Chapman commenced sawmilling in 1899 when they built their first sawmill at Seddon Terrace, Rimu (near Hokitika in Westland District). Eventually their milling interests became incorporated into Stuart and Chapman Ltd. whose headquarters were at Ross. The company became a fully-owned subsidiary of Fletcher Holdings in 1962.

Comprises one book of minutes of board meetings, minutes of general meetings, statements of operations, etc.
