CLIFFORD, Sir Charles, 1813-1893



Charles Clifford, born in Liverpool, came to New Zealand in 1843 on board the George Fyfe. He took up a large area of pastoral land on the border of Canterbury and Marlborough, later known as Flaxbourne and Stoneyhurst stations.
