Description:

Typescript of the original shipboard diary kept by Samuel Shrimpton on board the "Royal Stuart" on her voyage from Plymouth to Lyttelton, Oct.1854-Jan.1855. There is also a photocopy of an 1867 account made out to Mr. Shrimpton from the English School, Valparaiso.

Also included are some notes on the Shrimpton family who were
needlemakers from Redditch, Worcestershire.
