Record of a Rover Scout mountaineering course conducted by members of the New Zealand Alpine Club in the Matukituki Valley, Christmas 1954, probably compiled by Eric Wright. It includes original photographic prints mounted throughout the book of instruction notes and records of the nine day course at Mt Aspiring National Park.
This item was presented by Mr George Morrison Moir, a prominent mountaineer, on 25 February 1976.
