Introduction to Records and Archives - eLearning ASA Course

This inexpensive introductory online course covers - the concepts of archives, records and recordkeeping - common elements of recordkeeping and archives programs - the role of records and archives in society - and recordkeeping professionals today. It's suitable for archival volunteers wanting a comprehensive introduction; new archivists or related professionals working in archives and records; government employees working in archives and records departments; and students wishing to extend their vocational or university study. The course is produced by the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) and is available to anyone. There is a discount for members of the ASA, which they have generously extended to members of ARANZ (Archives and Records Association of New Zealand). Cost: $10 members; $200 non-members.
