Description:

Leah Hamilton is a student at the University of Otago. This essay was completed as part of the HIST353 course, 'Practising history'. Leah achieved 100%.

Edgar (Ted) Wilson Hunter was a collector from an early age and began keeping scrapbooks from ten years old. He became a unionist and then a Marxist-socialist when young. He continued to be heavily involved in politics throughout his life. He donated his large collection of socialist and communist material to the Hocken in 1966.
