Two flying log books, pilot's licence, record of service, ID card and two photographs relating to the RNZAF service of NZ39945 Flying Officer Patrick Francis Lloyd Stephenson.

Stephenson was born on 3 March 1914 at Wanganui. He began flying in 1938 with New Plymouth Aero Club, before training with the RNZAF there and at Woodbourne. He sailed to Britain and commenced training in mid-1940 at 14 Operational Training Unit, Upwood to train as a bomber pilot. He was grounded for stress in May 1941, following the death of his brother, John, the previous August and a serious accident and returned to New Zealand in March 1943 where he remustered as a Flying Controller, serving at a number of RNZAF stations. He was demobilised in October 1945

The Museum also holds his medals.
