To contribute, you first need to register as a contributor.
You will then be given a user code and password. This will allow you to log in and add information to your profile and add your collections or series and any items you want to include. Collection or series, and items, must be described using The Community Archive's descriptive guidelines.
If you already have your user code and password, you are ready to log in and get started.
The Community Archive has implemented the International Council on Archives’ metadata standards for describing archives and contributors.
These provide a good base for quality descriptions. A guide is available to help you use these standards.
If you have many collections or series and items to add to The Community Archive, you can use our template (and Excel spreadsheet) to prepare the information. You can then upload the spreadsheet rather than manually entering each record separately.
